The ICON Vehicle Dynamics S2 Secondary Shock System enables the installation of a secondary shock to an existing ICON coilover setup for 2010–2024 Toyota 4Runner and 2010–2014 Toyota FJ Cruiser. Adding secondary 2.5 Aluminum Series remote reservoir Omega bypass shocks doubles the suspension damping capability for confident traversal of rough terrain and larger obstacles.
The system uses factory lower control arms and maintains OE track width. A combination of billet aluminum shock tower adapters, fabricated shock hoops, and steel skid plates with incorporated shock mounts provides a mostly bolt-on installation without major frame or factory suspension alterations. The modular design allows components to be removed or installed independently, including standalone skid plates for added protection of the factory lower control arms.
Performance highlights: Omega Series two-tube bypass design creates multiple damping zones with externally adjustable bypass valves, delivering 28 settings of compression and rebound adjustment with no tools required. Secondary shocks feature one-piece impact-extruded aluminum cylinders for corrosion resistance and consistent finish, and are fully rebuildable and revalveable.
