ICON Vehicle Dynamics S2 Secondary Shock System

The ICON Vehicle Dynamics S2 Secondary Shock System upgrades the off-road capability of the 2010–2024 Toyota 4Runner and 2010–2014 Toyota FJ Cruiser by adding secondary 2.5 aluminum remote reservoir shocks to an existing ICON coilover setup. The system increases damping capacity and stability across rough terrain while retaining factory lower control arms and OE track width.

• Increased damping: Secondary shocks double the suspension’s damping ability for improved control over large obstacles and rough terrain.
• Externally adjustable compression: Included CDC valve provides 10 levels of compression damping adjustment via an externally adjustable valve that restricts oil flow into the reservoir.
• Vehicle-specific tuning: Secondary shocks are tuned for specific applications to provide increased damping and oil volume.
• Durable construction: 2.5 Aluminum Series shocks use one-piece impact-extruded aluminum cylinders for corrosion resistance and consistent finish; shocks are fully rebuildable and revalveable.
• Modular, mostly bolt-on design: Billet aluminum shock tower adapters, fabricated shock hoops, and steel skid plates with integrated shock mounts enable straightforward installation and allow staged upgrades or full installation at once.
• No major frame alteration required: Designed to avoid major changes to the vehicle frame or factory suspension components; components are fully removable for transfer to another vehicle.
• Skid plate option: Skid plates can be installed standalone to protect factory lower control arms from trail damage.

• Recommended aftermarket tires: 33" x 11.50" (larger tires may fit but fender trimming and modifications will be required)
• These are stand-alone kits and are not to be used in conjunction with other aftermarket kits
• Remote reservoir mounting brackets may interfere with aftermarket bumper mounts or windshield washer bottles
• Shocks are fully serviceable; coilover heights indicated are for a stock-equipped vehicle
• Welding required: lower shock tab and steering stop
• Does not fit KDSS-equipped vehicles
• Does not work with TRD big brake kit
• Maximum steering angle is reduced for secondary shock compatibility
• Compatible with 0–3.5" of front lift over stock
