The ICON S2 Secondary Shock System upgrades the suspension performance of the 2010–2024 Toyota 4Runner and 2010–2014 Toyota FJ Cruiser by adding a secondary 2.5 Aluminum Series remote reservoir shock to an existing ICON coilover setup. The additional secondary shocks increase damping capacity and oil volume, improving off-road control and allowing the vehicle to better handle rough terrain and larger obstacles. The modular, mostly bolt-on design enables staged upgrades and straightforward installation.
The system retains factory lower control arms and OE track width while using billet aluminum shock tower adapters, fabricated shock hoops, and steel skid plates with integrated shock mounts. It is designed to avoid major alterations to the vehicle frame or factory suspension components and is fully removable. The skid plates can be installed standalone to protect the factory lower control arms from trail damage.
