The EXP Series is built on a proven 2.5-inch aluminum shock design with a one-piece impact-extruded, hard-anodized cylinder for consistent finish and superior corrosion resistance. It features a 7/8-inch diameter induction-hardened, chrome-plated shaft and mounts in a shaft-up orientation for 2005–2023 Toyota Tacoma applications. Upper shock mount and spring seat are included.
The CNC-machined 6061 billet aluminum coil spring seat is made to accept the Tacoma's OE coil springs. Machined snap-ring grooves in the shock body allow selectable front ride-height adjustment from 0" to 2" of lift over stock.
EXP shocks use a one-piece digressive piston tuned for the Tacoma and its stock front coil springs to maximize damping performance and ride quality on- and off-road. The larger piston and increased oil volume of the 2.5-inch aluminum body improve heat dissipation versus smaller steel-bodied OE shocks, delivering longer-lasting performance under prolonged high-speed or rough-terrain use. Shocks are fully rebuildable and re-valvable by a qualified shock technician; replacement parts are available.
