ICON V.S. 2.5 Aluminum Series
ICON Vehicle Specific (V.S.) 2.5 Aluminum Series shocks are engineered for outstanding off-road performance and a smooth on-road ride. Each shock is length- and tune-specific to the vehicle application, fully rebuildable and re-tunable. Compression Damping Control Valves (CDCV) allow precise compression tuning for street driving, slow rock crawling, or high-speed desert use. For piggyback and remote-reservoir configurations, a 6061-billet aluminum manifold creates an internal Bump Zone that provides approximately 20% additional damping near full compression to reduce harsh bottoming and improve control during high-velocity compressions.
- Internal Bump Zone: Increases damping by about 20% to help prevent harsh bottom-outs as the shock approaches full compression.
- Remote reservoir: Improves heat dissipation to reduce shock fade during prolonged use.
- One-piece aluminum cylinder: Hard-anodized, impact-extruded aluminum for corrosion resistance and a consistent finish.
- Premium shock oil: 5WT oil for consistent damping across a wide temperature range.
- Nitrogen-charged monotube: Monotube design with remote reservoir for consistent performance.
- One-piece digressive piston: Vehicle-specific valving for balanced on- and off-road ride quality.
- CDCV adjustment: 10 external compression damping settings for fine tuning.
- Hardened shock shaft: 7/8" induction-hardened, chrome-plated shaft with rubber dust boot for added protection.
