The ICON EXP Series rear shock absorbers for the 2021–2026 Ford Bronco combine a fully rebuildable 2.5-inch diameter premium shock design with the convenience of re-using the Bronco’s factory coil spring and hardware. EXP bridges the gap between spacer lifts and threaded-body coilovers to deliver suspension lift, custom-tuned performance and increased travel in an economical package.
Built on a one-piece, impact-extruded aluminum body with a hard-anodized finish for abrasion and corrosion resistance, the EXP design features a large 7/8" diameter induction-hardened, chrome-plated shaft in an inverted (shaft-up) orientation. CNC-machined 6061 aluminum components and a machined coil spring seat are matched to the Bronco’s molded heavy-duty urethane spring seat to retain OE coil springs. Snap-ring grooves provide rear ride-height adjustment.
The shocks use a one-piece digressive piston and are custom-tuned to work with the Bronco’s stock coil springs for improved damping performance both on- and off-road. The larger piston and increased oil volume improve heat dissipation versus smaller steel-bodied OE shocks. EXP shocks are fully re-valvable and rebuildable by a qualified shock technician.
