Old Man Emu BP-51 Bypass Shock Absorbers

Old Man Emu BP-51 shock absorbers bring racing-inspired technology to everyday driving and off-road adventures. Featuring a 51 mm internal bore, these position- and velocity-sensitive bypass shock absorbers use patent-pending technology to deliver a balance of ride comfort, chassis control and off-road handling.

Developed and extensively tested under demanding Australian conditions, the BP-51 combines significant end-zone damping with a remote reservoir design. Its damping performance can be adjusted across a wide range of rebound and compression settings, allowing the ride characteristics to be tuned to suit the conditions and vehicle setup.

The shock absorber body, reservoir and components are made from 6061-T6 aluminum with a Type 3, 40-micron hard-anodized finish. This construction provides heat dissipation, corrosion resistance and resistance to stone damage.
