ICON Vehicle Dynamics S2 Secondary Shock System

The ICON Vehicle Dynamics S2 Secondary Shock System upgrades the 2016–2023 Toyota Tacoma by adding a secondary 2.5" aluminum shock to an existing ICON coilover setup. The secondary shock doubles damping capacity for improved control over rough terrain and larger obstacles. The kit includes externally adjustable CDC valves that provide 10 levels of compression damping adjustment. Designed as an affordable, modular upgrade, the S2 System can be installed in stages or all at once and is intended to be straightforward to install.

The system uses the factory lower control arms and maintains OE track width. A combination of billet aluminum shock tower adapters, fabricated shock hoops, and steel skid plates with integrated shock mounts creates a mostly bolt-on installation. The design avoids major alteration of the vehicle frame or factory suspension components and is fully removable. The skid plates can also be installed alone to protect the factory lower control arms from trail damage.

• Recommended aftermarket wheels: 17x8.5" with 4.75" backspace / 0mm offset; 18x9" with 5.00" backspace / 0mm offset; 20x9" with 5.00" backspace / 0mm offset.
• Recommended aftermarket tires: 33" x 11.50" (larger tires may fit but fender trimming and modifications will be required).
• These are stand-alone kits and are not to be used in conjunction with other aftermarket kits.
• Shocks are fully serviceable; coilover heights indicated are for a stock-equipped vehicle.
• Welding required: lower control arm.
• Does not work with TRD Big Brake Kit.
• Maximum steering angle is reduced for secondary shock compatibility.
• Compatible with 0–2.75" of front lift on most Tacoma submodels; compatible with 0–1.25" of front lift on TRD Pro.
• Requires OE front lower control arms; not compatible with other aftermarket front lower control arm kits.
