ICON Vehicle Specific (V.S.) 2.5 Aluminum Series Shocks
The ICON V.S. 2.5 Aluminum Series shocks are engineered for outstanding off-road performance while maintaining a smooth, controlled ride on the street. Each shock is tuned and configured to the specific application in both length and damping to ensure optimized suspension behavior for the vehicle.
Purpose-built design: Vehicle-specific valving and length deliver tailored performance for on- and off-road use. The shocks are fully serviceable and can be rebuilt or revalved to refresh or retune performance.
- Premium shock oil: Grade 5WT oil for consistent damping across a wide temperature range.
- Aluminum construction: One-piece impact-extruded cylinders and 6061 aircraft-grade CNC machined components for corrosion resistance and durable finish.
- Remote reservoir / piggyback: Improves heat dissipation to reduce shock fade during prolonged use.
- Internal Bump Zone: A billet-aluminum manifold below the top cap creates an internal Bump Zone that increases damping by approximately 20% near full compression to help prevent harsh bottom-outs and control high-velocity compression events.
- Performance shaft: 7/8" diameter induction-hardened, chrome-plated shock shaft.
- High-quality mounts: PTFE-lined spherical bearings and application-specific mounting hardware.
- Valving and piston: One-piece digressive piston design with vehicle-specific valving for balanced ride quality and performance.
- Nitrogen-charged monotube: Monotube architecture with piggyback reservoir for consistent response and reduced fade.
- Serviceable: 100% rebuildable and 100% revalveable.
- Optional upgrade: Compatible with ICON’s Compression Damping Control Valve (CDCV) for greater user-defined tuning of compression damping.
