Old Man Emu MT64 Rear Shock Absorber
The Old Man Emu MT64 is an all-purpose shock absorber designed for demanding overlanding use and custom vehicle builds, from stock vehicles to heavily loaded setups. It provides load-handling capability and vehicle-specific damping tuned for different loads and configurations.
Tuned for 440–880 lb of added rear weight and suitable for up to 2 inches of lift, the MT64 is designed to manage the shifting front-to-back and side-to-side loads created by campers, toppers, tents, and rack systems. It is built to deliver a smooth, comfortable ride on and off the road, even under changing conditions.

- Rear shock absorber tuned for 440–880 lb of added rear weight and up to 2 inches of lift
- Monotube design with a 2.8-inch body for increased oil capacity and precise shock tuning
- Aerospace-grade aluminum body dissipates heat 15 times faster than steel and provides increased protection against stone damage
- Forged body cap and rod ends reduce weight while maintaining strength
- Digressive valving responds instantly to changing surface conditions to maximize performance
- Hydraulic end-zone top-out provides additional cushioning at full shock extension to help compensate for unexpected bumps
