Old Man Emu BP-51 Shock Absorbers

Old Man Emu BP-51 shock absorbers bring racing-inspired technology to everyday adventures. Featuring a 51 mm internal bore, these position- and velocity-sensitive bypass shock absorbers use revolutionary, patent-pending technology to deliver strong on- and off-road performance.

Developed and extensively tested under the harshest conditions in Australia, the BP-51 combines a remote reservoir with big-bore, position-sensitive bypass technology. This design provides a comfortable ride around town while delivering substantial end-zone damping for improved chassis control and handling off road.

Damping performance can be adjusted across a broad range of compression and rebound settings. With 10 adjustment levels for each, the shock absorbers allow the ride performance to be tuned to suit different conditions and vehicle setups.

The body, reservoir and internal components are made from 6061-T6 aluminum with Type 3 40-micron hard anodizing. This construction provides heat dissipation, corrosion resistance and resistance to stone damage. The shock absorbers are manufactured in-house using state-of-the-art machinery to maintain control over the production process and support consistent quality.
