Old Man Emu BP-51 Bypass Shock Absorbers

Old Man Emu BP-51 shock absorbers feature a 51 mm diameter bore and patent-pending technology developed to deliver high levels of on- and off-road performance. Designed and extensively tested under demanding Australian conditions, these position-sensitive bypass shock absorbers include a remote reservoir and combine comfortable everyday driving with increased end-zone damping for improved chassis control and off-road handling.

Rebound and compression damping can be adjusted independently across a wide range, allowing the ride performance to be customized to suit different conditions and vehicle setups. The shock absorber body, reservoir and components are made from 6061 T6 aluminum with Type 3 40-micron hard anodizing for heat dissipation, corrosion resistance and protection against stone damage.

Each BP-51 shock absorber is designed, developed and tested by Old Man Emu ride engineers and manufactured in-house using state-of-the-art machinery for consistent quality and manufacturing control.
