Old Man Emu BP-51 shock absorbers bring racing technology to everyday adventures, delivering unparalleled on- and off-road performance. Their revolutionary, patent-pending design was developed and extensively tested in Australia under the harshest conditions.
These 51 mm bore, position-sensitive bypass shock absorbers feature a remote reservoir and are designed to bolt onto a vehicle without modifications. They combine considerable comfort around town with substantial end-zone damping for exceptional off-road chassis control and handling.
Rebound and compression damping are easily adjustable across a wide range, allowing significant changes to ride performance and a custom tune for the conditions and vehicle setup. The body, reservoir and components are made from 6061 T6 aluminum with Type 3, 40-micron hard anodizing for exceptional heat dissipation, corrosion resistance and resistance to stone damage.
ARB’s Old Man Emu ride engineers designed, developed and tested the BP-51 shock absorbers, which ARB manufactures in-house. Investment in state-of-the-art machinery gives ARB total control over production and helps ensure the highest possible quality.
