This tuned and matched suspension system is designed to suit a vehicle’s equipment and the conditions it encounters. It enhances ride quality, ride control, load-carrying capacity, and ride height.
Plan for heavy components and future additions, as added weight can gradually compress the suspension and cause vehicle sag. Accounting for planned additions can help avoid ride discomfort and later component changes, saving time and money.
Daily drivers should account for constant load only, while vehicles used strictly off-road can account for both constant and gear load. Since comfort is subjective, prioritize constant weight when selecting suspension; a setup rated heavier than the constant load is likely to deliver a stiff, unpleasant ride.
