Old Man Emu BP-51 Shock Absorbers

Old Man Emu BP-51 shock absorbers bring racing-inspired technology to everyday driving and off-road adventures. Featuring a 51 mm internal bore and revolutionary patent-pending technology, they are designed to provide exceptional performance both on and off the road.

Developed and extensively tested under Australia’s harshest conditions, these position- and velocity-sensitive bypass shock absorbers feature a remote reservoir and combine comfortable everyday ride quality with substantial end-zone damping for improved chassis control and off-road handling.

Damping performance can be adjusted across a wide range of rebound and compression settings. With 10 levels of compression adjustment and 10 levels of rebound adjustment, the BP-51 allows the ride to be tuned to suit different conditions and vehicle setups.

The body, reservoir and other components are made from 6061-T6 aluminium with Type 3, 40-micron hard anodizing. This construction provides effective heat dissipation, corrosion resistance and resistance to stone damage. The shock absorbers are manufactured in-house using state-of-the-art machinery for controlled production and high-quality results.
