Old Man Emu BP-51 Shock Absorbers

Old Man Emu BP-51 shock absorbers use racing-inspired technology to deliver high levels of performance on and off the road. Featuring a 51 mm bypass bore, position-sensitive damping and a remote reservoir, they were developed and extensively tested under Australia’s harshest conditions.

These big-bore shock absorbers combine comfortable everyday ride quality with increased end-zone damping for improved chassis control and handling off-road. Damping is adjustable across a wide range of rebound and compression settings, allowing the ride performance to be tuned to suit different conditions and vehicle setups.

The body, reservoir and internal components are made from 6061-T6 aluminium and finished with Type 3, 40-micron hard anodizing. This construction provides enhanced heat dissipation, corrosion resistance and resistance to stone damage.

The BP-51 shock absorbers are manufactured in-house using state-of-the-art machinery and controlled manufacturing processes designed to support consistent quality.
