ICON Stage 8 (Tubular) Suspension System — 2019–2021 Ford Ranger
ICON Stage 8 tubular suspension for the 2019–2021 Ford Ranger is engineered to dramatically improve on- and off-road ride quality by increasing wheel travel, damping capability, and overall vehicle control. The system pairs extended-travel, vehicle-tuned coilover shocks with tubular upper control arms and ICON-engineered springs to deliver predictable handling, greater wheel articulation, and the ability to run larger, more aggressive tires.
- Extended-travel CDCV 2.5 Series front coilovers with remote reservoirs for improved cooling and performance; height-adjustable from 0–3.5" of front lift (0–2.5" with Tremor package).
- Vehicle-specific CDCV 2.5 Aluminum Series rear piggyback shocks with matched valving to balance front and rear performance; foam bump stop kit increases rear compliance.
- Tubular upper control arms with ICON’s patented Delta Joint replace the OE ball joint to allow full bump and extended droop travel while reducing bind and improving front-end geometry and caster.
- Delta Joint combines ball-joint durability and corrosion resistance with uniball-like angularity; metal-on-metal construction, greaseable design, zinc-plated housing, and a protective seal for long life and quiet operation. Delta Joint carries a 5 year limited warranty.
- Multi-rate leaf packs with a lowered base spring rate for improved compliance and a removable/addable additional leaf to increase spring rate for more heavily outfitted vehicles; 3 user-adjustable rear spring rates.
- FK rod end bearings for extended longevity and minimal deflection; shocks are fully rebuildable and revalvable.
- Direct bolt-in design for straightforward installation and improved suspension geometry for predictable handling.
Key performance gains: up to a 35% increase in front wheel travel over stock, improved damping and ride quality from vehicle-specific shock tuning, and clearance to fit larger tire and wheel combinations.
Fitment and size guidance: Recommended maximum tire: 33"x11.25" (larger tires may fit but will require fender trimming and/or modifications). Recommended wheel size examples: 17x8.5" or 18x9" with appropriate backspace and offset for clearance.
Notes:
- Factory wheels and tires will fit.
- Shocks are fully serviceable; coilover heights indicated are for a stock-equipped vehicle.
- Minor fender trimming is required for the recommended tire size (33"x11.25").
- Compatible only with 2019–2021 Rangers equipped with aluminum steering knuckles.
- Ranger XLT or Lariat models equipped with the Tremor package have a front lift height range of 0–2.5" over stock.
- Not compatible with Ranger Raptor models.
- Front lift range (standard/aluminum knuckles): 0–3.5" (0–2.5" with Tremor package). Rear raise range: approximately 0.375"–2".
