ICON Vehicle Dynamics 2019-2021 Ford Ranger Stage 5 Suspension System
The Stage 5 suspension system is engineered to dramatically improve on- and off-road ride quality and vehicle control by increasing wheel travel and damping capability. It includes extended-travel, CDC-valve-equipped 2.5 Series coilover shocks with remote reservoirs, ICON-engineered coil springs, billet aluminum upper control arms with the patented Delta Joint, 2.5 Aluminum Series piggyback rear shocks with CDC valves, and a rear foam bump stop kit for improved rear compliance.
- Height-adjustable front coilovers: 0–3.5" of lift range on a stock-equipped vehicle (Tremor-equipped Ranger XLT/Lariat: 0–2.5").
- Increased wheel travel: Up to 35% more front wheel travel over stock when paired with extended-travel coilovers.
- Vehicle-specific shock tuning: Front and rear shocks valved for balanced on- and off-road performance.
- CDC Valve (CDCV) compression adjustment: Quick and simple compression damping changes on the coilovers.
- Durable shock construction: Corrosion-resistant CAD plated shock body with 7/8" shaft for 2.5 Series coilovers; hard-anodized body with 7/8" shaft for 2.5 Aluminum Series rear shocks.
- Serviceable design: Shocks are fully rebuildable and revalvable.
- Billet aluminum upper control arms: CNC-machined 6061 billet arms provide improved suspension geometry, on-vehicle camber and caster adjustment, and increased clearance.
- Delta Joint: Patented heavy-duty, high-angle joint combining ball joint corrosion resistance and weather sealing with uniball-like articulation for greater angularity and longevity. Metal-on-metal construction with a greaseable design for noise-free operation.
- FK rod end bearings: Provide extended longevity and minimal deflection where used.
- Direct bolt-in: Designed for straightforward installation with corrected front-end geometry.
- Warranty coverage: Delta Joint ball joints carry a 5-year limited warranty; lifetime guarantee against ICON fabricated component and coil spring breakage or manufacturer defect.
Delta Joint benefits: Zinc-plated housing for corrosion resistance, tough grease seal to keep contaminants out, greaseable design for increased service life, and combines the durability of a ball joint with the performance characteristics of a uniball.
Recommended wheel and tire sizing: Wheel sizes: 17x8.5" with 5.75" backspace / 25mm offset or 18x9" with 6.00" backspace / 25mm offset. Tire: up to 33x11.25" (larger tires may fit but will require fender trimming and modifications).
Notes:
- Shocks are fully serviceable. Coilover heights indicated are for a stock-equipped vehicle.
- Minor trimming required for recommended tire size.
- Compatible with 2019–2021 Rangers equipped with aluminum steering knuckles only.
- Ranger XLT or Lariat models equipped with the Tremor package have a reduced front lift range of 0–2.5" over stock.
- Not compatible with Ranger Raptor models.
