ICON Vehicle Dynamics Stage 5 Suspension System — Toyota Tacoma (2005–2023)

The ICON Vehicle Dynamics Stage 5 suspension system for the Toyota Tacoma is engineered to increase wheel travel, improve damping control, and enhance ride quality on- and off-road. The system combines vehicle-specific 2.5" extended-travel coilovers with remote reservoirs, billet aluminum upper control arms featuring ICON’s Delta Joint, and a rear Add-A-Leaf kit with matching remote reservoir rear shocks to deliver balanced performance and durability.

• Vehicle-specific tuned shocks — 2.5" front and rear remote-reservoir shocks with valving matched to the Tacoma for consistent damping and improved control.
• Extended-travel coilovers — 2.5" front coilovers with remote reservoirs for improved cooling and consistent performance under hard use; height adjustable.
• Front lift range — Adjustable coilovers: 0–3.5" lift on 2005–2015 models, 0–2.75" lift on 2016–2023 models.
• Billet aluminum upper control arms (UCAs) — CNC-machined 6061 aluminum UCAs that correct front-end geometry, provide on-vehicle camber and caster adjustment, and improve suspension clearance.
• Patented Delta Joint — Zinc-plated, greaseable high-angle joint that combines the durability of a ball joint with the articulation characteristics of a uniball while resisting contamination and noise.
• Serviceable components — Shocks are fully serviceable; replaceable Delta Joint for extended life and reduced bind.
• Rear compliance and lift — Add-A-Leaf kit replaces the factory overload leaf to lower rear spring rate by approximately 10% and provide 1.5" of rear lift.
• High-quality construction — Corrosion-resistant CAD-plated coilover bodies, 7/8" shafts, FK rod end bearings, and CNC machined aluminum components for durability under heavy use.

Delta Joint details

The Delta Joint is a heavy-duty, high-angle design that blends metal-on-metal construction with a protective grease seal and zinc-plated housing to resist corrosion and contamination. It is greaseable for longevity, reduces noise, and allows increased angularity compared to traditional ball joints while remaining more robust than standard uniballs.

• These systems are to be used with aftermarket upper control arms only.
• 700 lb/in expedition coil option available for heavier equipped vehicles.
• Shocks are fully serviceable. Coilover heights indicated are for a stock-equipped vehicle.
• 2016–2023 Tacoma front lift range is 0–2.75".
• 2017–2023 Tacoma TRD Pro models: front lift range 0–1.25" over stock and rear lift 1" over stock.
• Recommended tire size: up to 33" x 11.50" (larger tires may fit but will require fender trimming and/or modifications).
• Recommended aftermarket wheels (example fitment): 17x8.5, 18x9, and 20x9 with approximately 0 mm offset (verify clearance on your vehicle).
• Trimming of fenders may be required for the recommended tire size.
• Bump Stop Spacer Kit 51045 can be installed to increase preload by 0.25" beyond maximum.
• Requires recalibration of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) after install.
• Will not fit 2WD Tacoma models with 5-lug wheel studs.
