ARB Recovery Point
Reliable recovery points are essential for off-road driving, yet the absence of industry standards for rated tow points has created uncertainty for four-wheel drivers. ARB developed its engineered Recovery Train to establish a benchmark for the design, testing and selection of recovery points.
The system addresses concerns including untested mounting locations, uncertainty when choosing rated shackles and straps, and the inability of generic tow points to safely manage the forces created by angled vehicle recoveries. Each vehicle-specific recovery point is rated for use with a 4.75t rated bow shackle and a 17,600 lb snatch strap.
